Mission

Helping Hands is a non-profit 501(c)3 faith based, human service agency providing emergency assistance by direct distribution of food, medications, clothing, utility assistance, referral service and education to low-income elderly, children and families at risk in Greenup County.

How We Fight Hunger Head On.

We’re on a mission to feed people struggling with food insecurity by distributing nutritious food and groceries through food boxes, senior boxes, gift baskets, food drives, and partners.

Donations are made to Helping Hands

Food is either donated or purchased by Helping Hands.

Through our certified food sourcing practices, and program-focused approach to expense management, we provide a great return-on-investment to our donors and community.

Even a $1 donation will help provide 9 meals to local families.

When Food Arrives

Once food is received. The food is then organized, weighed, verified, and processed. Our volunteers and staff work very hard to get it ready for distribution to our community for those in need.

Those in Need Receive the Food Gathered

It is our belief that no one in our community should go hungry.

We provide nutritious canned, boxed, fresh, frozen, and prepared food to all those in need in greenup county. This is all possible through our partners, donations, volunteers, and food drives.

Helping Hands Thift Store

We are a nonprofit organization helping the community of Greenup County offering good quality donations at majorly discounted prices on clothing, housewares, and furniture. All purchases from the items sold at our thrift store assist in helping the community. We use all proceeds in various ways to assist the community, whether it is to buy additional food, pay utility expenses, or in other ways to help the community.
